A little bit more about our journey...
Scott peck starts his book ‘The Road Less Travelled' with the phrase: "Life is hard". The sooner we accept this fact, the easier it becomes. The first time either of us read this line, it hit us both pretty hard in the chest. We felt uneasy, perhaps somewhat skeptical about a phrase oozing with such a deep pessimism, but to be honest, it also left us with the painful acknowledgement that life can often be somewhat bleak and mundane.
Between us, we have not suffered genocide or gone to war or lost a child, but even without these atrocities, doing life well and juggling the balls of work, family, friends, spiritual growth, nutrition, exercise, mundane household chores....etc is hard . And so, the journey has begun. For various reasons, we have both brought to these pages. We feel the desire to express what's inside us; to explore a way of being that helps us be present; to nurture the desire to be creative that is within us, and in doing so, bring healing to our bodies, hearts and minds. I guess you could call this the chronicles of our discoveries.
So this collective space is where we can share a little about our inspirations, ponderings, challenges and light bulb moments ….sometimes abstract, sometimes practical. All have been a part of discovery, learning and healing for us. We hope we can convey these reflections in a way you find freshly encouraging. Please do snoop around and share your thoughts with us!
